Thats a good point.
The kit doesnt space the wheel out it spaces the chain over

Hello,

Are you referring to this part in price list?

NC30/35 VFR750 rear wheel conversion £125 exchange
(modified axle complete with studs & nuts + 5mm chain spacer kit)

Chain spacer kit alone £14

Do we have to have the whole kit or just the chain spacer will be sufficient to put 160 wheel? How does the handling and grip levels change afterwards in your opinion?

Thanks.

Just the chain spacer kit - the handling is not affected at all, the wheel does not move..

Hi,

Thanks!!! Can I squeeze 160 wheel on the standard NC35 rim?

BTW this topic is great I finally got some answers on this question.

@CMSMJ1 if you've done this change how does the bike feels on 160?

You can fit a 160 no worries..

I've used 150s BT090s on my NC30 (with 18 inch) and also raced with 17 inch and 160s/150s in both Diablo/Dragon Supercorsa and BT090. I don't reckon you can really tell too much the difference, though Supercorsa Diablo tyres are awesome in 160 on the NC!

You are welcome Vladimir, welcome to the site.. Let's get a few pics of your bike eh?

Thanks CMSMJ1 for a warm welcome.

This site and you guys are a revelation for me, because in Russia 400cc machines are considered a learners bike and we've got almost no forums or any kind of info about them. And that's why most of the bikes are in poor condition and under heavy abuse.

I've recently bought a 1995 NC35 with 56000km on her. though she starts and goes not bad at all. I'll be buying haynes book and tools soon to get her up to a better condition.

I'll make pics and a vid of her on Sunday.

I've been running a 160 rear and 520 chain for the past season and haven't had any issues either
