Re: is this real or just bs?
Also I have found out that similar boxes were made for the NC23 (I have two of these, the only two I have ever seen!!!) MC18 & MC21. Also there seems to be two models of this box the earlier ones look like the one on my ebay listing and are stamped HRC and the later ones look identical but are not stamped HRC but instead just have a sticker saying Not for road use in japanese, they look like this (one of my NC23 ones, the other one I have looks just like the NC30 one):

And here is an identical NC30 one (note marked NKA instead of NKB like the NC23 one):

Re: is this real or just bs?
Very true, surely someone over the years has done some dyno testing? What also concerns me is people for years have been running the HRC cdi on bikes with the SS/SP carb kit for which its not designed. The F3 manual is dated 1990 and the SS/SP manual 1992 so if the HRC CDI was any good for the SS/SP bike honda surely would have used it instead of the little box of mystry?

Re: is this real or just bs?
so wait wait...your saying these are like the hrc cdi? could this explain why my bike is spewing out fire from the exhaust sometimes? maybe it altered my fueling making it abit too rich? maybe my bike shouldnt even have this box...my bikes carbs is pretty damn stock..all i did was just install 118/120 jets.

Re: is this real or just bs?
In theory it should only be used with the SS/SP race kit which is essentially just a carb kit, i cant see any benefits on a stock setup.
The HRC CDI is designed to be used with the TT F3 race kit which is a carb kit and a whole lot more, again i cant see the benefit of using it on a stock setup.
