My vj22 hadthem fitted , they looked good and fitted ok but feel paper thin and crap , good if your tarying a bike up to sell but not if its a keeper.geoff33 wrote:There might be a load about Marcus, they won't last long though. I have had several sets of Chinese panels through my hands and in my opinion they are garbage. The paint peels easily, as if they are not properly prepped, they also crack VERY easily.

Re: Cheapo Chinese - Endurance Replica Fairings!
There are some companies in China that will cast a near perfect replica set of panels in the right stuff for a price, they'd also need an original undamaged set of panels sending over.
Theres a few companies that will even make them in the much coverted by some fiberglass (i've seen some fiberglass panels and they were really high quality)
With all the people on this board espeically the people that live out in China / Thailand, surely someone can find a company who can replicate a good part and we could get a groupby on some decent quality panels made, perhaps plain to be painted as desired?

I'd be interested to know if the people who criticise chinese fairings have had any experience with race stuff. I recently had the displeasure of fitting a cheap race seat to an NC30 and I wouldn't put that stuff anywhere near my road bike.

you cant compare tyga race stuff for instance to the ebay complete fairing kits, they might look good but i wouldn't be spending my money on any .
Might look good but they feel cheap , are thin and i doubt they will last very long on a bike being used all the time.

The chinese fairings I bought are pretty darn close to the real thing in plastic thickness, weight and flex.
Not sure how the paint will hold up over a few summers though....

Re: Cheapo Chinese - Endurance Replica Fairings!
I wanted to order some fairing from e-bay, just befor conferming purchase they said postage & packeging is 90ponds, after conferming the purchase, a message poped up that saidsorry but the p\p is 190pounds "sorry buddy but its exspencive to post to your country", that was more than what the fairing is worth. I contacted e-bay and canceled the purchase. I think they are a bunch of crooks!!!! just my opinion.

Fair enough.
I'd be willing to bet it would cost more than 90 quid to send them to SA!
