Re: Carbon fairings - Brainstorm?
panels would come all ready to fit to the bike
road or race would depend on demand we would need a minimum order before they are done to make it worth our while doing it.
ABS is a no go as it is very very expensive to set up injection moulding to do it correctly and well.

and this is the crux of the matter, even the uber modding NC30 boys wont shell out for Carbon Fairings and there is a lot more of them than us.CBR_2009 wrote:Carbon sounds good, but unfortunatly, i'm out. Would cost more than what my bike's worth. .

I second this. Just to buy that darn nose cone/front fairing is proving to be bit of a nightmare. If a Chinese one costs some £130 plus silly amounts for shipping, £150-£200 delivered for a carbon nose cone THAT FITS WELL is a rather plausible and attractive option.dunkenb wrote:If individual panels were available you could maybe go for just a carbon headlight fairing with standard for the rest. Would be cool.
I really hate to have it Street-Fightered just because I can find no nose cones.

Tanuki is also correct on the fact you CBR boys dont splash the cash as much as the NC boys do which could be a problem as we will need a minimum of 5 orders for us to make it worthwhile making.

Re: Carbon fairings - Brainstorm?
Having just spent ~£300 on a set of Chinese fairings from an auction site, £1K seems fair - for quality as well as longevity.Gavin jap4 wrote:A ball park fig would be around £1000.00 for front and rear panels but it is ball park ...
If anyone that's interested start saving £80 every month, this time next year we could place the order!!
