yeah turns out that the reason for the broken push rod was a destroyed bearing just behind where it broke, i'll upload pics and show you the damage but suffice to say i need a new gearbox, i have a lead on a 3tj box, will this fit without any changes?

yeah I'll have to for the min at least, no funds for anything that isn't absolutely 100% necessary also i haven't seen the 3en2 with a 600 in, they all seem to be the later shaped ones that seem to get treated up, so if its a tried and tested kinda thing then I'll be all over it at some point, but I'll prolly be building the fzr yzf bastard child 660cc version if i can be bothered at all.

The 3HE into a 3EN is even easier than the 3TJ conversion because there are no top mounts, so brakets to make up. The airboxes are the same too so all you need to do is maybe space the tank cover up a bit, although you can just push it on hard.

well that wasn't as painful as i thought it was going to be (despite the fact my back is now killing me) turns out that the 600 does go into the 400 really easily the worst part was lining up the first mount, then it fell into place, so i thought i'd see how far i could get, well the engine is in the plumbing is done the wiring is done and its running! all in one afternoon. used all the 400 parts too, like the exhaust and airbox, i've kept the 400 cdi till i can get a 600 one, i'll just be sure to keep an eye on the redline and change up early, wont run nice though, seems that the choke is doing nothing and i think i should have done the valve clearances before i put the engine in, but hey i wanted it in!
