i believe the green and the red are switched around on them yellows can go in any order

I keep meaning to add an extra ground wire from the reg/rec to the subframe, dunno if it'll make things any better, but wont hurt.

You can pick up regulators from carbed CBR125's for peanuts too, they are original dimensions but with fins. Usually on eBay for about £25, you can get one for £20 or less if you shop clever.

i managed to do this today
fitted the R6 regulator from a 2003-2006 model 5sl
had to grind abit of metal off the bike tho
its a big unit and im quite concerned that its touching the inside of the seat fairing i just hope it doesnt melt the plastic... well at least my charging problems are sorted

however the bike doesnt idle well and dies if left idling for a while
i will try to increase the idle thingy (dont know what its called)
any maybe give the carbs a good cleaning hopefully that should do the trick

Hi, i filed down a few of the fins on the top corner on mine just to make sure it didnt rub against the seat unit.
Have you checked the voltages to make sure its charging ok now?

i checked the voltage across the battery with the bike running and found it at 14.8v
and i cant remember the exact figures but something very close with lights on

do you think i should file down the reg on mine? it is very close if not touching the fairing but will it cause any damage to the fairing?
