Do you know what the torque settings are for the clamp bolts?

Good advice there, Im about to do mine the seals are wrecked and there cant be much oil left in by the way it dives when brakes are applied- scary!! :o

Evilchicken / guys do any of you happen to know the torque settings for this job ? let me see if i can find em.

Had mine done by local yamaha dealer in the end! £24 superb ! The front seems so stiff now but great!

What did they do for £24 quid Mark mate? My local Yamaha dealer are good lads but they aint cheap!

Probably misled you? I had a spare set of forks so they had to remove one set and fit another, took em half hour!

If you need the seals replaced obvious a lot more as the seals are over £30 yamaha ones!

When I went though the manuals online I did find the torque settings

i just removed my forks to have the seals and oil refreshed. Found a garage in North Shields -Parks Motorcycles- who is doing them for £93 inclusive which i thought was ok, (ian Bell yamaha said £120 and that was me taking the forks in) Was gonna have a bash myself but not got much spare time lately.

Found it really straightforward to remove the forks and gonna repaint while off the bike, thinking of a colour change from silver grey maybe a lightgold ??

Front brake calipers clean up next

Oh I found the torque settings MarkT lol (lazy me eh) ;)

Good for you! Price sounds good so go for it! The bike will feel very different when you first put them on!

Hope so, the dive was almost half the length of the stanchion, felt dangerous to be honest.. Only ever ridden round work carpark as it was.
