Check the tap but I don't think this will make much of an issue.
You can use a Plastic bottle as a fuel tank and this doesn't have a tap and it works fine.
The carbs themselves shut off when they are full of fuel due to the float needle. You need to make sure these are sealing properly.

Seems I have J51B needles in the rear and J51A in the front, Must have got them mixed up when drilling out the sliders.
Would that alone cause the problem?

I doubt it. It would be 6 of one and half dozen of the other.
It is over fuelling - so stuck floats, loose jets maybe?

Re: Dyno chart - MEGA rich!!!
Well checked the floats stood the carbs up on the end and they bounce back freely if pushed in, removed them and inspected the valve spring tip. The float heights are all between 6.5-7mm. Very slightly tightened the jets. Much tighter and Im afraid they will break.
Choke defiantly closes as there was abit of slack on the cable and there is a gap between the arm and plungers when closed. Apart from the needles I can't find much wrong. Not saying there isn't but I can't see it!

Re: Dyno chart - MEGA rich!!!
Are the floats actually sealing?
The floats press the float-needle into the float-valve, this stops fuel flowing into the carbs.
Easiest way to check is remove all 4 bottoms.
press the floats gently closed and put fuel in the inlet pipe.
If the carbs are still getting fuel the floats are leaking.
They can be hard to inspect visually but check the tips, they should be round and smooth and not damaged.. dont' mix them up either as they tend to wear to their appropriate seat

Re: Dyno chart - MEGA rich!!!
Cheers for the guidance Neo, Just check that they seal. Did them one by one, rather than use petrol I sprayed carb cleaner down the inlet (didnt fancy getting petrol all over the kitchen table!) and pressed the float just enough so it was compressing the spring slightly and they each seem to seal.
Im at a loss as to what the problem is, might just refit them and see if anything has changed.
