Re: VFR/CBR brake upgrade
Hi porndoguk,
By measurements I assume u mean outside diameter and guess what they are fitted atm so I don;t know.
From memory ( which aint what it used to be ) I think total length was 318mm. which was right on the service limit.
I'll try and get measurements sometime in next week and let u know.
cheers

Re: VFR/CBR brake upgrade
I wouldn't be sure, as whilst the spring may be shorter the spacer may be longer.
can u measure the overall length for me ?

Re: VFR/CBR brake upgrade
hi All,
As i've got the lowers & calipers sorted (which should b here next week) my mind wandered to the suject of discs.
I've got a pair of pfm discs currently fitted to a non-running 893, does anyone know off the top of their head if they will fit the NC29 ?
don't really want to pull both front wheels apart if its a non-starter !
cheers

Re: VFR/CBR brake upgrade
Hi All,
Fork lowerrs gone for stove enamelling - getting done v.dark metalic grey so hopefully should go with whatever colour scheme I finally decide on for the bike.
As expected calipers are quite dull so thinking of getting them stove enamelled to match lowers.
Do specifications for seals change throughout the NC30 year range ? I'll have to split the halves of the calipers to get enammelled so will need a full seal kit including the ones between each half.
Don't know what year my calipers are !

Some are gold and some are black. The bits are the same for all NC30 calipers

HI All,
Should have fork lowers back this week, so just wanted to check, Are the master cylinders the same for NC29 & NC30's ?
Cheers

Re: VFR/CBR brake upgrade
I believe the CBR has a 1/2" and the VFR a 14mm master cylinder. Might not sound much but the performance difference is a lot.SPal wrote:HI All,
