Well this whole registering the bike has not been a great deal of fun, trouble with the insurance papers then i balls up the v55/5 woops... anyway all the paperwork is now complete waaahaaay!!!!

DVLA now want to carry out a check on the bike before issuing the reg docs ect, what do they look for or is it just chassis and engine numbers? anything else i should be worries about?

it flew the MOT so im assuming its just to make sure the bike is actually the bike im telling them it is on papaerwork...

cheers guys.

They look at engine and frame number to make sure they haven't been 'tampered' with as it's an easy way to re-register a stolen bike.

Takes no more than 10 minutes.

Gussing you didn't have the original log/book

Pisser that you can't ride it there though.

if you dont' unload it from a van they won't look at it. (i.e. if they suspect you rode it there) instead they'll bust you for it aha.

Thanks for that fingers crossed this time next week i can ride it.

Do you know if they will give me a reg number there and then?
