Yes but that conversion is for the FZR,Not the VFR.
yes generally the adaptor is for the fzr but eye to eye i think my shock on my rvf400 was 305mm, and eye to eye the 2006 2co R6 shock was 290mm( i went with this shock as the reservior misses the undertray and the bottom has the same fork attachment to fit the rvf400 linkage). So you are short by at least 15mm, so if you used the adaptor but ask for the bottom holes to only increase the height by e.g. 35mm to give a 10mm increase it will fit.

and the top mount has to be filed down not for diameter but because the length is a few mm too long to fit into the standard rvf400 top mount, so i used my bikes linkages both top and botton and only added the R6 shock.
