According to the rim to tyre application chartkostritzer wrote:I've never had a 150/60 on my bike as that size is nearly impossible to get here in the states, but the 160/60 does raise the rear a bit, and it seems to turn in quite well. A 160/60 is the standard size for an SV650 which also uses a 4.5" rear wheel, so its not like the tire is being forced to fit an odd sized rim.
There are some pics of my NC on my FB page http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 2c204c66f1
The rear tire does look kinda baloonish compared to the 120/60 now that I take a second look!
160/60*17 4.00/4.50/5.00
160 is suited to a 4.5" rim, the ZXR400 uses a 160 on a 4.5" rim.
Depends on the tyre mfg though as some makers tyres vary slightly

Interesting that they are recommended for a relatively wide range of rim widths. I assume the 4.5 is the ideal width since its right in the middle.
Not to venture too far off topic, but has anyone tried a Dunlop Q2 160/60-17 on an NC35 rim? Any clearance issues? I've heard they're a bit wider than some of the other 160/60's.
