Re: my bike
I agree with Hadies, i paid 1500 for my first NC30 and with hindsight (a wonderful thing) i overpaid but about 300-500...
if only i knew then what i know now!!
we all live and learn fella and if it gives you a whole summer of relatively trouble free riding and loadsa fun, thats money well spent
bear in mind that you paid that price for it, chances are someone else will too when it comes time to sell it!

Join the club, I knew nothing about Honda VFR 400, let alone the NC 24/NC 30 malarky, I picked up an Nc 24 and 3/4 of an another one, both with knackered plastics, as a fun project for a cheap runabout, for 350 sovs, had no idea it was a grey import, no manuals, spares are all but non existent, and come any revolution I would gladly hang Mr honda with piano wire by his dangly bits, for making the 2 models virtually the same but completely different so parts are not interchangeable when needed,sp00ka wrote:i get upset when iv get leaks from the engine and i cant work out whyi fort i used to be good at working with bikes but when there ent no manual for the nc24 i just struggle, lucky neo knows what his doing else i would be in trouble, plus other people,

but hey ho it sounds great, and does look cool in my garage and is always a talking point when some one sees it for the first time, the good thing is there is always somebody on here who can help you out, its been a god send for me already, from electrics to oil leaks, and it will be forks next as I have just dismantled them, arrrgh

Re: my bike
Forks on these are a doddle to do, fork seals are availalable as new honda parts and pattern (reccomend honda)
Work on them separatly though as the anti-dive guff in the left leg can get mixed up.
Best thing you can do is fit some maxtron springs for 60 quid, these will replace the tired old pogo stick like honda ones and offer a lot more rideability, especially if you throw 10psi into them.
