Re: Tyre options?
Yep 18" rear.
Whats the crack with changing to a 17" - I could get freebie ex track day tyres
Porndog, thanks for your comments,
I don't intend skimping on tyres but being realistic, the NC is very much a sunny day toy for me, I don't intend doing track days & don't ride on the road like a racer, so I reckon most modern rubber will be just fine & if I can get a set for £50 cheaper that will last longer then bring it on
Hell, I have ridden the Alp like a loon at times and in all weather - on Avon Gripsters
Cheers for your comments all, Phil

Re: Tyre options?
Hey guys,
This is my first post here, So if this is in another thread then sorry,
But I wanted to know what are the best tyres that would suit the NC30 for the wet, I live in a city that is prone for nothing but Rain and its coming into winter time now and my daily road is nothing but twisties.
I have been looking at Michelin Pilot Road 3's, they have a 120/60 - 17 front option, but a 160/60 - 18 rear option, would the extra width cause any problems?
Cheers, any help would be great.

Re: Tyre options?
I've got BT92 on NC35, has anyone run Pirelli Rosso II's? Just wondering, I asked a place about them and south africa pirelli doesnt apparently have any...BOOO you suck Pirelli SA, not that I can afford any tyres now lmao won't for a while on south african wage, if I get a puncture im fucked, work im starting soon will be 104k's a day, doesn't help running like 8.5l/100km and no money to get bike dyno'd etc. Anyway they want to sell me michelin as well, am i right in thinking michelin sports wont last for shit?
When you ask for specific things in South Africa you ALWAYS get a 'what about this' response or a 'you won't need that' like I did for an X-ring chain(told me I should go o-ring won't need x-ring I am now running a DID 525VX X-ring anyways, ha take that!)

Re: Tyre options?
I use Conti Road Attaks, but there 160/60/17 and 120/60/17.
Great road tyres, hold like fook and last ages.
The Race Attaks are only realy for trackdays unless you ride like a lunatic on the road and can afford to replace them every 3000 miles
