Popping a wheelie on a nc35?

only ever had the front wheel leave the ground over hump backed bridges but doesn't bother me, my gsxr750 wheelies all the time without trying

Personally I always have the front wheel off the ground!!

Those Abba stands are ace for it.

I quite enjoyed wheelies on my old fireblade, but it was pretty easy. Trying to wheelie smaller bikes just feels wrong. Any why would you want to hurt a lovely v4?

i was able to do some wheelies by clutch kicking but i obviously felt like an idiot when i had to change the clutch shortly after, these bikes are really built for corners and that is where the fun is!

Had a guy do stand up wheelies on my NC30 no problems.

There is no doubting it can be done, this being am enthusiast site, mechanical unsympathy will never go down well.

It requires a lot of revs and clutching it up. It does mangle the clutch tho and therefore is not advised.

I see tho hoodlums on bicycles just at the balance point all day on there Apollo bikes. They got skills you have to admit.

My clutch was just fine. As long as you are good at them and not doing them all day it should be fine. If you are just learning to do them then yes it is not a good idea on an NC30. Otherwise not really a problem aside from doing them for extended periods incurring oil starvation.

i have lifted the front on my 35 a total of about 5 times.

standing start, 6k rpm, drop the clutch and wring its neck, it'll come up just fine

i would not recomend it though as this is when im racing and i dont particularly want it to weelie then either as it only slows you down

keep the front wheel on the ground - go find some twisties and embarras some fool on a "gixer thou"

Despite the preconceived notion, a 'gixxer thou' has a hell of a lot better suspension than an NC30 mate... it will embarrass a stock NC30 around any set of corners. It can also lean a lot further without pegs touching down.

standard suspension - yes

new suspension CORRECTLY set up and the right rider -
