Definitely right about the SV, the old one we had was the curvy one and looks(ed) dated, but are well happy with the new 'pointy' one as it looks soooooo much better. Just got to finish taking the old SV apart now (I never knew how long it would take to break a bike and sell the bits on ebay!!!!) Also, i've been thinking of buying another bike (I don't really want to sell the SF) for the past couple of years and i'm still not sure what I want. My main idea is to keep the SF for a bit of summer fun and as a project and to get something with a bit more fairing for the ride to work and back..... ah well, will probably wait another year :D :D :D

I was leaning more and more towards the SV650 S, then I read a few reviews for the Yammy FZ600 Fazer - sounds perfect, if I'm not too short for it!

However, I made a discovery on the SF: If I sit up a bit straighter than I have been doing, the turbulent wind off the top of the "fairing" no longer hits my neck and the bottom of the helmet (creating a lot of tiring booming noise inside my lid), but instead hits my chest. My helmet is in nice clean air and no longer resonates like a bass drum! The overall effect is quite amazing, and I enjoy riding the bike more than ever!

This probably means I'm not going to sell the Version R (at least not yet) so I won't be buying a replacement either!

Still, thanks for the advice guys, and I'll still bear it in mind when I do get round to buying a new one!
