A muffler alone bolted to the standard exhaust system won't increase power by much (or at all), but it will certainly sound better than the standard muffler.

A half or full exhaust system will increase power by a noticeable amount. The type of exhaust pipework doesn't really affect the sound much IMO, it mainly comes down to the type of muffler/s. I picked up a yamamoto half system last week for only $80 - these sorts of deals don't come up often!


There are heaps of options if you're wanting more performance. Supension, brake caliper upgrade and raised rear ride height would be at the top of my list, then some engine/breathing mods (exhaust, jet to suit, slide springs, ignitech cdi, etc. Then some nice rearsets, carbon fibre parts etc etc, the list goes on....!
