My NC has to wait until my Blade's done (the mrs wants the blade back ready for May - it's not hers, but she won't go on the back of the nc) so the nc is being used as is.

With the front end starting to come back together I will be concentrating on the body work and running, after the shims were done it would be rude to note balance the carbs. This took me a little longer than planned as the adjuster screw between 2+4 had cross threaded so there was no way of adjusting the balance between them, I had to carry out a repair on the screw thread so that I could finally get them into sync.

I knew that the body work was always going to be a nightmare, fibreglass panels that fit well but the bike had a spill at some point in it’s life and the fairings had taken the brunt of it. I decided that the fibre glass was too thin to work on so I strengthened the whole thing with carbon fibre, this then gave me the ability to block sand and fill, without worrying about the filler not taking and to much flex in the panel causing the paint to crack again.
This is until some decent plastics come along!







I have mocked up an NC35 front mud guard as I will be fabricating the new brackets to make it fit over the next week or so and it matches my new NWS hugger too.

Like the hugger, I'm still in two minds whether to do the brake line through the swinging arm mod or fit an alternative guard....

I was tempted to do the rear brake line mod but am glad I didn't, when I fitted the hugger it was slightly out of alignment , probably down to storage. After I fitted the hugger I managed to align it with the brake line and 'P' clips .

It's like having kids, you don't realise how far they have come along until it creeps up on you, I always forget to take photo's and then it's like a big jump to the next phase. I have been busy ish and looking forward to updating the thread with new shiny stuff pictures.

Due to time wasters and panels not being available I have taken a bit of time out from my resto project, I am currently working nights and this morning I had a bit of an epiphany, I was lying in bed wondering about the Castrol livery when a controversial idea popped into my head....

You never guess what I have done, really.
