Here's a thought...
the rear brake on my Triumph 955i Daytona was awful. It took you to literally stand on the pedal, at which point it went from not braking, to locked. No real "feel" of anything in between. I did a common mod of replacing the 14mm master cylinder for a 1/2" master cylinder off a ZXR400L, and it was suddenly as good as you would want it. Not awesome, but plenty good enough to control the bike as you want to with the rear pedal.
Perhaps you could do similar on an nc35?

I have already fitted a Nissin rear master cylinder from a CBR600, but I did not gain much. :)

Did that change the diameters, or just fit newer parts? It's the ratios of master/slave cylinders which are all-important here.
