Re: Is This Fitted Right?
ive slackened the bolts off and they were quite tight, it feels a bit better and looks right now the chain adjuster has been adjusted.
fingers crossed when i ride it everything is ok.
Oh and i think i've mooched off this site long enough and have gotten more info and help than i could ever need so next week its account upgrade time, its the least i can pay back for all the info ive got off here.

I don't know about you, but I would feel a lot better knowing I was riding a bike with everything torqued properly.

I know, I'm not 100% comfortable but they arn't over tightened or too loose at the mo.
I will invest in a torque wrench when I get some money.

Chowder, if you haven't enough money for a torque wrench ride past ludgvan one day and pop into Crossroads garage and ask for Paul, he will lend you one to torque everything up there, he owns the garage and is my best mate.

Re: Is This Fitted Right?
right, before i ride it and find something is wrong, i found this once i'd put it all back together. i dont recognise it from taking it apart and it isn't out of the ordinary for me to find odd bolts etc around where i work on my bike (and they arnt from my bike)

the centre black part revolves, and on the right its hollow. Now this could just be off my brothers pushbike or a random odd bit from a tool box but i thought i'd check whether any of you recognise this as part of the linkage or anything

How big is that? It doesn't look like it's out the linkage, but from the 'grime line' it looks like it should have been sat in something?!
