Why aren't Honda still making technical lovelies like this?

Even bloody BMW's come out their shell lately, and who'd have thought a tiny Italian manufacturer could beat the big H to a modern V4... :|

Oh Honda are still making technical lovelies ... haven't you seen the new Crossdresser, I mean Crossrunner? 240 kg of pure V4 porn mate ... that's assuming you like your bikes big, heavy and confused.

The original post says it all: on their web site HRC offer wallpaper downloads a lot of which centre 'round the oval piston NR's ... it's as good as saying their high water mark was 20-30 years ago.

Some of us live in hope they're gonna see the light, say damn the expense and make a genuine PGM FI street legal V4 race bike for the new decade. If they don't do it soon I am seriously gonna look into fuel injecting an NC35 ...

Yes, beautiful it is too. I wasn't claiming it as an original idea and to honest I meant it more in a "damn you Honda if you don't make me what I want I'll do it myself" kinda way. That said the Ignitech universal CDI for Honda and the recent emergence of 110 cc fuel injected 4 stroke singles here in Thailand has got me thinking. The engineering challenge would be daunting but probably fun ... the software challenge looks like sheer purgatory.
