You don't need a numberplate for the MOT.

Have done it before, was no problem. It's technically not part of the test.

If your tester is anally retentive - you can trim the top edge from a UK legal plate to just above the letters - it will then fit. Mine did.

Did the hose arrive yet?

No hose as of yet, in no rush so no problems.
