Get the swinging arm powder coated too, make cleaning easier next time round?

i haven't but I'd like to see some as it's been on my mind whether to do it or not...

OK will try some kitchen cleaner and washing powder with hot water tonight. Will steel wool damage the swinger or should I use a coarse cloth to scrub it?

I use Mr Muscle on my sprockets, swing arm, chain and wheels. I use a combination of medium - large course plastic brushes. But as i said in my previous post, keep a bucket of water or a running to hose to rinse off the wheels and chain.
Mr muscle is basically a de-greaser and works alot quicker than fair liquid etc, but please do make sure you wet any painted surfaces before using it as a precaution :)

Rearsets and pillion pegs came up really good with the wire brush attachment on the grinder(thanks for the tip guys). They sort of have a rough look to them, which I like. I think if I was to use some Autosol metal polish they would look too shiny.

I also used some washing powder and steel wool on the swing arm and it turned out really clean!

Should I spray anything on them to protect them from rust/oxidisation etc..?

20mins sook me to get this result,

all standard except for the toe peg in which i added,
i removed the rubber boots from the ball joints as they made it look retro, i shall hopefully have some new foot pegs arrive soon, gonna clean all the gunk of the brackets and polish them up.

the pegs rubbers were worn, and slightly bent hence why i replaced them.

give auto sol a miss on this occasion, get your self some polsihing wheels you can get a good set with all soaps/waxes and attachements for £30 on UK ebay, and theyll keep you going for ages.
