Hope all goes well with getting both bike and body back on the track early in the new year :peace:
Haha. Thanks for that Quo :)...yeah the stock muffler wouldn't have helped me at all. Cheers for the offer then though :D. Was considering getting it just to keep the neighbourhood a little less noisy during test starts, but the neighbours had their 8 months of peace...now to make some noise ;)

Well I haven't posted on here for a while. Been rather busy since I managed to start the bike up...new job is rather busy and across town so I am barely home to get to work on it.

In the last 6 months or so, I have been getting a few bits and pieces for the bike. Including some second hand fairings, fixing up the old fairings, new paint scheme and also getting another tank which now fits rather well on the bike :). Also thanks to Cammo, I got a HRC muffler which I fitted to the Sansei system. Seeing as the Sansei system had a smaller outlet, I got an adapter made up for the muffler to slip over for a better seal. Just got some hoops welded onto the old system for the muffler retaining springs so the bike is mechanically all done. Just another test fire, test ride around the block and then change oil/oil filter/coolant etc.

Anyways without further ado, here are some pictures of what I have been up to (minus the exhaust...just fitted it last night).

NOTE: due to low funding, I was using spray cans...a lot of them.

Image
Mixed matched coloured fairings...belly pan, fuel tank and duck tail are all old...fuel tank was discarded after it being faulty and another one was purchased. Trial fitted after redrilling some mounting holes.

Image
Fairings with a few coats of undercoat.

Fairings trial fitted after undercoat, so that I can take a photo of it and photoshop some graphics.

A graphic design which I went with...after opinions/suggestions and a voting party.

The end result of my spray can adventure (hmmm paint fumes) and a whole lot of painting tape/newspapers/sandpaper.

Going to put another update up once it's all fitted with exhaust system, however I don't think it will make much of a difference. Also got some stickers to put on when they arrive :).

Cheers
Phong

Looking good Phong!

Glad you got the muffler sorted. You don't see to many sansei systems in oz, nice one (especially with an nc30 hrc muffler  ).

Bet you can't wait to get back out on the track!

Thanks Cam

I ended up sanding the muffler to get rid of the shine and now hoping to buff it up a little to give it a duller look. Don't like too much bling.

Definitely can't wait to be back on it, however the weather has turned sour, bloody freezing at the moment haha.

Okay got exhaust all fitted and bike running (YAY!) and did some inspections of leakages etc. Found one leak which was the fuel tap. It's leaking from where the tap is attached to a plate, that is attached to the fuel tap assembly via 2 rivets. It isn't leaking a lot, but you can see it form a drop...so I will be using this fuel tap for the time being.

I was wondering, if it was possible to fix this leak or should I just purchase another fuel tap? Hopefully they aren't too pricey down here.

Thank you all in advance.

Cheers
Phong

EDIT: Uploaded a video of it with all fittings.

Thanks :).

I just found that it blows black/blueish smoke when I rev it out. Not sure if it's because the engine has been sitting for a while since the last time it was fired up or something is wrong :( . Hopefully it's just running rich...wasn't running like this last time.

Here's a video of it

Also anyone got a spare fuel tap they don't need and is willing to send it down under? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Phong
