I run my nc30 over the 1/4 can't remember the times prtty boring,i think low 13s.
But i did run 9.9 139 on this in about 1980-81.

Here's some times someone posted on a forum. No idea where he got the times from or exactly how accurate they are:
CBR400 - 55bhp @ r/w - 13.5 seconds 1/4 mile @ 105mph - Top speed 128mph
VFR400 - 57bhp @ r/w - 12.3 seconds 1/4 mile @ 110mph - Top speed 135mph
RVF400 - 58bhp @ r/w - 12.1 seconds 1/4 mile @ 115mph - Top speed 140mph
ZXR400 - 57bhp @ r/w - 12.9 seconds 1/4 mile @ 109mph - Top speed 145mph
GSXR400 - 54bhp @ r/w - 13.2 seconds 1/4 mile @ 98mph - Top speed 125mph

- 2003 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG runs 12.39

Yeah those times seem off. Where'd you find that? I'll let you guys know soon though on the NC29 and 35 might even take the MC22 out there and a Frankenbike FVR400/EX600 engine bike out and see what's she'll do.
But of the bikes as Cammo said I think the 29 is the fastest.

Alright so I finally have an answer - just got back from the drags and my first run was a 13.9 (taking it easy, getting used to it and all) and my best time was a 13.264 @ 102.65mph (165kph).
60ft time was 2.172, 330ft time 5.693, 1/8 mile 8.561, 1000ft 11.084.
Specs of bike: standard engine as far as i'm aware, full tyga exhaust tuned @ 62.3hp. Standard gearing.
Even when I was letting go of the clutch at 9-10k RPM it would take off and then bog back down a little bit. I think I need to go to about 12-13, slip the clutch quite fast and keep on the gas.
There was definitely a lot of room for improvement so I think my bike would do about 12.8-12.9 if it had a rider that was a bit more experienced! A change in gearing would easily get it in the low-mid 12's.

I had my first go at drag racing today on the NC30
standard apart from Quill exhaust can
Best I managed was 14.23 1/4 mile @ 95mph, and 2.23 60ft
Mind you it was my first time and I couldn't seem to get the hang of the starts, kept bogging down.
Also I'm a fat bar steward at 15.5 stones! lol
I think she needs a good service and some new plugs because theres a hell of a flat spot around 6.5k
Got the bug now though, need more power! :-)

Flat spot is common at this rpm, read cammos carb guide, most of the time it can be remedied by raising the needles and extra 0.5mm with some washers.

My NC29 is much faster off the line but its rear sprocket is a lot bigger than the NC30's. The 30 has a higher top speed though.

Yeh was only 20 quid for camping the whole weekend with a retro show today. To run it was £20 unlimited runs but it was so hot! I only did it for a photo but got carried away and ran 5 times (once on the bf's bking) :) immense fun! U must do it!
