You can get 35mm x 300mm stainless steel bar for around 25.00, but the cost of setting up / turning them down and hollowing them out soon adds up if your paying someone to do it.

If you know somone with some SS bar knocking around and time to spend machining them down then it isn't so bad.

23.00 each from wemoto with both the seals too.. the seals are about 5.00 so your paying about 18.00 a piston. (i would always use new seals with new pistons btw)

had to butcher then to get them out seized in,

couldnt get them out with brakefluid and pressure
nore 180PSI of air,

so was blowtorch and pliers!
the other i had to drill a dent into the piston and use a centre punch to lever it out against a 12mm spanner!

i think ill just gently clean the pistons on my working rear caliper when it comes to swapping them over, a good heavy degrese with solvents and suchlike, and then use polishing compound with the dremmel i dont want to damage the surface to much as i will lose the diameter. I also have a banjo switch, so when i do eventually sort my rear sets its a case of just unbolting without the need of sorting brake fluid yet again!

and gonna also sort all my resovoir hoses as they are leaking AGAIN with to layers of pipe!
