If it is free/ cheap I dont' see it causing any harm.

Standard system doesn't get hot enough to melt the fairing / paintwork though..

Ill take some of that tape off your hands :) thank you

That ebay link is a rip off in my eyes as you need 2 for the side fairings.

Ans i know it might not get too hot in there, but i cant afford £300 on paint if it did crack it, so a £0 - £20 mod will save me a lot of hassle

Theres only two small parts at the bottom of the NC24 faings that have foil on them from the factory.. this is down by the collectorbox.

After 30,000+ km/s and several roasting track-days the paintwork (original) still looks like it did when I got it.
