nope that is exactly what i've done.alexwitham wrote:On closer investigation I take it all I need is 5 insulated female 6.3mm spade terminals which I will crimp then solder for extra strength and a pre 2005 R6 reg/rec. Anything I've missed off?
Thanks guys.
the only slight problem i came across is its a little bit of a tight fit inder the rear fairing.

Really appreciate all of your help fellas. Bought myself a 1999 R1 reg/rec (same as R6) and a pack of 6.3mm insulated spade terminals. Should be with me in a few days.
FYI - Just noticed on the top of my now burnt out reg/rec that it says 'ELECTREX'....................Fail

Question - In what order do the red and green wires go into the R1/R6 reg's?

I use 2003-2005 R6 regs.
Right..
The bottom 3 are your yellows (any order)
Top left is your Red
Top Right is your green

Full details there :)

I think that sums it up

Question :
All fitted, however the RR gets so hot after sub 5mins that there's no way you could grasp it without burning yourself. Is this normal?
