No. Nothing on dash at all. I'm gonna check the starter solenoid tomoz to eliminate that. I've had so many charging problems with my bike but the dash has never died. I will also check all earths tomorrow too,

The dash is supplied via the solenoid, the battery positive is wired straight through it. You should be able to get a reading of around 12v from the battery ground terminal or frame to the correct connectors on the solenoid, you need to cross-reference the wire colours with the wiring diagram. If none of the connectors on the solenoid are giving you a voltage but the battery is giving a voltage reading, the solenoid is probably dead.

Jo shame you dont live closer to me, i have all the parts you would need and could sort this out.
Its quite logical and i am sure following the steps you will find the problem area.

Success! It was a dead battery in the end. Got it on charge, took it to my local bike garage. We did all the voltage tests, and alt and reg/rec are both ok, but the battery was low, so i've got a new, slightly bigger one. Lets hope it's done the trick.
Thanks for the help and advice everyone. One less worry off my mind.

Glad you got it sorted Jo. So are you gonna stretch its legs and give it a run on Sunday to check it out, or are you being a big soft pink and girly girl and going in the car still (lol) :poke:
