You had the carbs serviced for £400 :o jesus no wonder the girlfriends moody.

Guilford's not too far away for me but pretty tied up this week and off on a stag weekend friday to monday so realistically it'll be tuesday if you wanted me to have a look, im no expert but NC's are my game and i know whats wrong and whats right so id be pretty confident i could get her going.

Would you be willing to sell her as she is?

yeah i know mate, £400 seemed steep to me but i was really naive and just wanted her working, the guy told me "oh yeah worked on these before, carbs are a pain but if you know what your doing"... - which i didnt and he clearly didnt either!

thanks for the offer and yeah i would be interested and prepared to wait around for you.

yes i would sell as is with all the bits i have aquired, but honestly i dont ever think i'll ever see what iv spent, which bugs me as i really did believe that this would hold its money.

i know a guy who has a few and he was pretty excited when i said i had UK one, so was chuffed when he said he would work on it for me, as i say that never happened and i was left pretty gutted by that tbh. brought some forks off him and was all happy to have a look and then it never happened after id brought bits off him, pretty sure may see cheeky bids from that way if it goes on the bay though

as i say i just gotta do something with it now, its cost me ££££s and i need to start getting them back! before i get to the point where i sell it in the pub for £20 - or torch it lol!!
cheers

Blimey! I would have had a look for half that!

Sorry, that doesn't help.
I'm only down the A3 a bit so happy to pop down either with DM or not and have a look. I'm not too great on the carbs either tbh, but always happy to try stuff and I'm ok with a spanner!

I'd be happy just to see it running mate as I'm sure anyone else on here would be the same. Don't get rid until others have checked it over.

I'll pm my number.
You'll soon love it when it's living again! (or sell it to me!) ;)

cheers for the comment

to be honest its even cleaner than that now!!! that was the day i first got it and did a little 2 hour clean. 9 months later and all iv had the heart/guts to do is clean it inside and out!!

i really do hope it is, when i had it going it sounded so sweet!! and my boss who i brought it off is a major petrol head and looks after his toys, he had it from late 92 to 09 but stopped riding it in 05. its barely done 16k,,,whats that 800 odd miles each year of its life!!!

Hmmm that weekend is likely a no go for me im afraid, Family birthdays but i'll have a word with the misses and see if i can have sunday free if your ok to wait that long.
Chances are its going to be something silly as CMSMJ1 says so if you have tools there i wont mind a ride over with matt if he wants and get it running. Dont think your have any trouble selling it to be honest, Good clean UK spec bikes get snapped up real quick.
