Re: The Needle Thread
I see, i would have though doing a scaled profile of one side of the needle would be enough, we can always double the values with a calculator, saves you work ?

Re: The Needle Thread
You can make a scaled profile of the graph easily. Just make the scale of the axis 1:2 (y:x).
I don't see the point personally, it's more useful in the current scale to see differences between the needles (scaled profile would make differences very hard to see).

Re: The Needle Thread
To dig up an old thread, does anyone have any of the 8ZG or 8ZH or 8ZJ or 8ZK NC30 needles that they could measure and post up on a graph like has been done with the 8ZF needles

Re: The Needle Thread
Correct me if I am being dense... if you shimmed the standard nc30 needle up by 1mm (there's a 0.5mm shim as standard and it's mostly accepted as A Good Idea to add another one) then wouldn't the profiles and overall lengths be actually very similar? Perhaps you could plot a new graph to show this idea?superlite wrote:

Re: The Needle Thread
Sort of, but the needle profiles are very slightly different which has a big impact on fuelling.amorti wrote:f you shimmed the standard nc30 needle up by 1mm then wouldn't the profiles and overall lengths be actually very similar?
