turns out i looked at the wrong v5 and the bike is yellow! liking the idea of speedblock thingys, anyone had any experience fitting r6 decals to a 3tj?

A yellow bike.
If your fitting speedblocks to the bike then you just need them longer than the bike, then you can move them forwards of backwards a bit to position them. The 3TJ is odd though there's more than one dominant line because of the mai frame under the seat
