when you say open carbs i assume you mean no air filter and no airbox top or have you got the nc35 airbox top fitted? should of had a propper test ride before did oulton park on friday or should i say 1 lap in fist gear gutted :down:

Not really, but you can restrict them in other ways. If you tap the air jets to take a allen head bolt you can then just drill this out to the required size (2mm).

this is what was fitted on my nc30 when it arrived.
not sure if bike has ever run correctly as only test rode up the street, and checked all gears on paddock stand.

Has it ever run since you had it? did it sit for a while and maybe needs the carbs cleaning out?

no never in anger, guy said carbs had been cleaned. he only run it the same as myself.
beleive the jets are a wee bit small for no filter (115), new plugs have been fitted. run ok with other carbs fitted and standard airbox. should have a second set of carbs this week going to speak to rick oliver about hrc carb kit and what jets :pray: may be required to run it as it came as dont have a spare air box and filter.

The 115 jets are small even with a filter....

I've just fitted 140s to my carbs that look like Dataracers (although not as shiny) and need to get them working.

I also run RVF carbs on my road NC30 - that has a filter, but no lid and uses 130 jets. (std is 108)

my standard nc30 road bike (now) has 110 front and rear its a 89 model which has a full quill system and ran fine.

where is it possible to obtain a air tray for under the carbs, seen them on ebay but none on at the moment.
carbs are off the bike at the moment so would be stupid not to fit one.

Are you running dynojet jets?

I'd still say 110 is too lean for a full system like that quill...have you any dyno sheets?
