Oh so you just bought a new hub? I swapped the hub on my old VFR but never messed around with bearings. It'd seized and all the teeth were missing so I just swapped it out for one I got off eBay for £15 (they were cheap a few years ago, now they all seem to go for decent money). So how much did Mr France charge for a replacement? Know wemoto do 'em but they're not cheap... http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Honda/VFR_4 ... ._Bearing/

i got it for £75 off Graham back in July time. my one was fine in regards to teeth but the bearing had collapsed and was in bits.
but after having a good long chat with him i decided to go for a reconditioned one by him, he has all the gear to take the bearing in and out, clean it and re-pack it. in my books its 75 well spend.

He didn't offer a gauenentee but a decent lad, i am sure if there was any problems he would have been quick to rectify them. cant say that for all of the ebay community!!

Sure if GF's selling a recon one it'd be worth the £70. They go for around that on eBay and as you say with eBay there's no guarantees. If you buy sumat and it's shagged then ya stuck. Might have to have a word with Graeme then. Hoping mine's ok but have yet to check it. Should do really. All the teeth are there (by the looks of it) but who knows what the action's like. If I need one, I'll give Mr France a shout deffo.
