the other way of doing it with the carbs off the bike is by closing the butterflys and filling them with carb cleaner.
then open the butterflys one by one, when the carb cleaner is let out, you know it is open, so do the same on all 4 carbs

How much is that morgan set, particularly the 90 degree screwdriver? And where might one get 'em?

Click on Other Products and you'll see the bevel screwdriver. It's £42 but as you can see from the pictures it's well made

Simon iv put 136 jets in drilled the slide holes to 2.5mm slides and +0.5mm needle shims which is the base setting chris at dynopro recomends then he said it may be a case of going up/down a few jets to get it right, I may ask the dyno guys to balance it but if I can do it myself then that will be cheeper

Ok iv had a go using the drill bit method but I find the carb behind the base carb (front right) dosnt have enough adjustment it it to close the butterfly as much as the base carb. has anyone else had this problem?

The drill bit method will give good results on a very sweet motor but will not allow for worn parts. If say one cylinder is lower comp than the rest gauges will allow for this and you can also use gauges to set the pilots by turning them and noting the rise and fall of the gauge.

What size drill bit do you use?
