Replacing HT leads

Maybe we should post up wiring diagram for this, on the three different bikes, would be usefull. it is the next step, even though i bought some Taylor leads anyway !

Postive wire of coil 1 connects back to the appropriate wire of CDI.Negative wire of coil 1 connects to positive wire of coil 2. Negative wire of coil 2 connects to appropriate wire to CDI.

Are you sure this is what you rearly mean?

When you write coil 1 and 2, do you then mean the new stick coils for cylinder 1 and 2?

I guess what you mean is that the coils for cylinder 1 and 3 should be connected in the way you describe, as should the coils for cylinder 2 and 4.

He means to wire them in series... The NC30 / 35 has only 2 coils due to its firing cycle, the stick coils have a lower resistance than the standard coils do but if you wire the coils in series the resistance becomes similar and you don't fry the CDI box.

The NC24 has 4 coils so you need to use a good resistor to bring up the resistance.

Or use CBR 1000 RR stick coils on the NC24, they have a internal resistance of 3.3ohm each

And as it happens, I seem to have a set of those that you can have for, say, £35 incl postage. No loom included, so you will have to ebay for that.
