Re: NC30 clutch cable query
I've tried drilling and prising to no avail. Get the right bits! It is hard when you have a truck full of spares and can't remember which ones are OE!

Re: NC30 clutch cable query - FFS!
Update:
Now received my 3rd clutch adjustor (probolt brand) and it still doesn't fit my brand new clutch cable (right part number for nc30). I don't really want to prise apart this aluminium one as it will break easily when used perhaps.
I can always pilfer the part off my racebike but I'd much rather have complete bikes instead of swapping parts between them all the time!
Next stop is to file some of the diameter off the new clutch cable steel end! D'oh!
Has anyone else had this problem with cable and adjustor compatibility before?

Re: NC30 clutch cable query - ongoing saga!
i had exactlly the same problem, bought an OEM clutch cable from david sliver.
At the same time i got a second hard clutch perch and adjuster from geoff33. The cable didn't fit. I compared my old bent adjuster to the one i got off geoff and they were the same size!
The answer must be in the different part numbers.

the two cables i have differed one slightly longer with a metal shaped bend before lower adjuster other without i am sure silvers used to list 2 different nc30 cables only showing one now, in anycase neither fitted the probolt adjuster

Re: NC30 clutch cable query - ongoing saga!
Strange problem.
The parts manual show a couple of different numbers for clutch cables but only 1 part number for clutch cable adjustors - go figure.
I now have 5 (yes five!) clutch cable adjustors that don't fit an oem clutch cable (all apparently from/for an nc30 cable).
I've just filed down the end of a genuine clutch cable to fit one of these adjustors (being careful not to get filings in the cable itself - I used wall tack to seal the end). Not a very pleasant job but it's worked well.
