Like the idea.

I used to run led bulbs in the standard bulb socket on my Chinese 125 single - it had a habit of killing filaments every few weeks.

I'd love a fancy bespoke led taillight. But I'm a cheapskate, so I'll be getting a pack of 4 red led's from Halfords (£4.99), putting them in the cut off bottom of coke cans (as reflectors) and fitting them behind the clear plastic and mesh in the seat cowl (2 in the cowl wired into the brake light and two wired into the side light)
Formerly RacingSlug. Felt like a change and it came down to either Biscuits, Ben10 (possible copyright issues) or NinjaSmokeWarrior. The wife suggested TwatMan.

Cheers for that bill, thats two people now that have used the 916 rear light unit, so its looking a good bet, and that ones fitted to a standard vfr rear end!

How about some HRC rear lights?

Part number 33700-NL5-700 for builb type or 33750-NL5-820 for LED type.

I think the LED unit is now discontinued but you may be able to source one somewhere

How about some honda hrc rc45 led fittings (for endurance racing):

You can also get them in carbon from hrc...

If you fit a fibreglass seat unit you can make any led lights fit, this is what I've done in the past.

Worth remembering that lenses need to compliant for MOT so the 916 lights might be a better option. If you want to stick LED bulbs but 12's keep burning out 24v. They'll still light up but won't blow if they get an over volt. About 5 quid each off ebay.

Went for the ducati 916 rear light in the end, couple of brackets made up and it went in a treat!
