worth checking the electrics as it is a fast process and good for the peace of mind.
Last christmas I foolishly decided to take the bike to my brothers, 100mile ride through mostly country b roads and an outisde temp of -3, bike was ok there and back :-) (I was a wreck :D) haha

Sounds like it could be one of many things then... only change one thing at a time if your trying to isolate things else you may change too many things to find out what it is.. seeing as it always does it at the same point is strange!!

Maybe you have a blocked breather pipe *shrug*

well trip in to work went smooth today with no probs, but the trip home same prob but only a mile or 2 away from home this time, splutter and low down power loss , pulled over and reved the bike a bit and it stutters, a few more revs and it cleared and the rest of the trip home was fine
at home tank off and air filter off , i readjusted the rubber flap by pushing it forward so it hangs straight down as it was kind of sat back on the top of the forward cylinder, checked breather pipe and that seems clear, the screw cap on the tank seems ok, can blow air through fine, while the tank was off i took out the fuel tap and that seemed ok no crap there, checked the route of the choke cable as it seemed a bit stiff and wasnt sure it was closing properly but that was sorted and all smooth, spray lubed all springs and linkeges for the throttle and choke, checked all pipes for kinks or damage, everything seems as it should, so off now till sat, so wont get to see if wot ive done has cured the prob, as sods law it never seems to do it any other time other than on the work run ( i hate going to work and now so does my bike)
