if you put the idle adjuster back up does it start? Where abouts does it drop off and die?

You may have a problem with your pilot circuit.

Did you screw the screws out 2.5 full turns? or 2.5 half turns? (i've seen that many times)

If I put the idler back up it doesn't start, and the air screw is definitely 2.5 turns out

It sounds far too rich and bogging... Can you try some standard jets? Have you got any?

I do have the standard jets and was thinking of trying them back in again as it ran ok with them, but I have been recommended #120 front and #122 rear mains as I have the tyga full system on it.

I run that exhaust. I found 120-122 was too rich, i'm on 120's all round and air/fuel is pukka.

try the other plugs and get back to us, where abouts are you in N.I. as maybe someone could pop over and have a look,sometimes it helps.

and i'm in Belfast so once the weather picks up a bit i'll take a rip up on the bike, unless hop-along anderson (viper_biker) wants to join in then we'll go by car??

swap out the plugs or warm the back two ( the easiest two to get out) in the oven to help dry them out and i believe warm plugs help start bikes ( it might be complete bull but i've had many bikes start with oven warmed plugs)

Thats great royster81 I can try the oven ready plugs myself tomorrow night after work and I'll let you know how I get on, and if you want I can always pick you up in my car if thats more convenient for you??

The only other thing I havn't tried is the float valve seat, as I'm thinking that the filter in it might be blocked or damaged, so what do you think??

i have a car too mate but i'm just busting to get out on the bike and any excuse will do, i even tried " i just going to nip to the shop on the bike to get some milk love".....pity the shop is across the street, she saw right through that one ....


try the oven warmed ( not 200* roosting !!) and have a bash. it could be nearer the weekend that i'm free, also some highly flammable spray into the carb direction helps too ( think of it like easystart). but try the plugs first.
