Just tried the bike once more hoping it would start, alas still nothing! Aaargh!
Whats this breather thing in the tank? I'm not exactly very technical!! A simple fix?? Any more suggestions?
Think I'm gonna have to call breakdown again... I wish I was a bloke with tools!

open the tank cap and see if it runs better.

I think you need to check that you get fuel from the tank as per my first post - take the tank off, stick a pipe on the vacuum, turn the tap on and suck the pipe....vacuum pipe that is. ;)

Fuel should come out and then stop.

Do you run a fuel filter inline? It may be blocked?

Why is it not starting? does it try to start? kill switch? :o

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my mechanic checked the fuel was running through...maybe it is the fuel filter line though.

The bike does try to start, it did tonight but only for a milli second!

I just wondered if there was something really simple that maybe someone would've experianced the same thing. I keep hoping its a simple fix, and that it's ok but then it happens again!
The kill switch is on so unless there's something more sinister about it?!
Hopefully I'll know more 2morrow if I can get it recovered to the garage, keep u posted....

Has it been standing at all?

You might have sticking floats that arn't letting in any fuel.. tap the float bowls with a screwdriver, leave it a few mins and try and start it.

Errr well, not sure if I should still post on here at all as am the biggest numpty on the planet!

Turns out, bike is well and good... yep it was me all along!! Some reason got into the habit of using a bit of throttle to start which isnt really what the poor bike wants and seems to disagree with me doing this! And not only that haven't been putting the choke in soon enough hence the flooding of the engine!
Whoops!
But I am a girl so this makes it ok right??? No I'm not blonde....! lol!
