haha sounds funny.

'neons' my mate had those on, red ones on his gilera DNA.

there used to be 7 of us all hung around together from school when we were 16.

2x honda x8r's (one s model one x model)
1 malaguti firefox
1 gilera dna
1 peugeot trekker
1 yamaha aerox
and one lad we knew had his dads old fs1-e (fizzy!) now that thing was fairly fast, but stank!

well good luck with ya hunting for a supermo, i've always liked the ktm 660 smc! now thats a nice bike! :peace:

1 yamaha aerox
Ahhh...brings back many memories of 2 engine swaps, carburettor conversions, modified air intakes, reed valves, exhausts, and countless popped pistons and melted rings. lol

Fun times

Aye, i managed 55 out of my x8r with alot of work on it..i had a 'TKR' pipe on it and honestly you could hear me coming 10 miles off it was 'that' loud!

firefox was always cool, the dash was the best bit like, looked like a cockpit of a eurofighter..all digital lights LED's etc.

my mate had the aerox with a 70cc head on, and it had loads of other stuff.. mallossi multivar variator kit, kevlar belt, air intake mod, reed valves and a 'straight up the back of the bike style' leo vinci pipe for it, which looked awesome, im sure he only got 75 on that tho...and thats before he killed it...

I spent 9 months doing a ground up rebuild, around 4 sessions on the dyno to get the jetting perfect, and about £900 on a scoot that was only worth about £500 to begin with lol.
Out of memory it revved to 14k and had a 'dyno' top speed of 136kmh.
I wont even tell you how long the piston lasted for...

i can imagine about 5 minutes  fantastic.. i never knew someone had so much money and so little common sense..!

saying that, at 16 you'll do anything to make it faster...like wearing no protective gear, just to lighten the load of course haha! :P

EDIT

136kph??? :o :o thats about 84mph!!! thats nuts! haha no wonder it lasted 5 minutes!!

yeah and only 2nd in 70mph when i really...like, really needed everything the little begger had to get through tight gaps and avoid the notorious bmw death swoop (chaging all 5 motorway lanes in one fell swoop never even thinking about using the indicators..)

which brings me to this... Image
That's what I'm getting on my bike too 178kms to reserve first time and 150kms on my second fill.
178km - Commute + one hard scratch. Only 14.5k/L approx
150km - Commute only

Bit strange, I had a ZX9 and that put out 18kpL regardless of how I rode it.

How big is the tank?? It was about 12L to top up from reserve.

I've only had my NC30 two weeks, it's an 89 and only has 13,000km on the clock. It's pretty mint :)

Last two fills have been 10 litres which has got me around 185ks. Takes 12 from reserve just didn't want to test the reserve range....
