All sorted now thanks, swapped the internals from the 35 unit into the 30 housing, jobs a gooden

how did you get the tacho opened as i've tried with mine and still haven't found how it opens.. brute force ?

You mean the front??? yeah that is a bitch.....i just used a small flatblade to bend the lip back. then just tapped it gently to get it back on
