Do you mind telling me what tire size you run on the rear? Only recently brought an RVF, and the previous owner was running a 165 rear section slick. He said it ran fine. Any thoughts?
Cheers, Eden.

erm iirc...
I read somewhere that the Avon 165/60HR17 supermoto slick is for a 4.25 / 4.50 wheel and will fit the RVF fine as its narrower than the old style.
You really need to check with the tyre maker though as different tyres vary and usualyl this kind of tyre would be too wide unless its been made to fit the smaller rim

Im running a 160/60-18 & 120/60-17 combination of Avon Storms which clear everything and handle pretty well. Seem to warm up reasonably quickly too and look quite cool.
Might try some Dunlop Alphas next as I probably wont do more than 2k a year

Most Aussie racers use 165 slicks, you can't get anything smaller.
I've used them and they work fine.

I'm running a 160/60/18 bt-016 on the rear of my NC30 and it's working fine so far. Tons of grip from this tire and I hear they last a while too. To be honest I've never had a 150 tire on my bike. Does it really make much of a handling difference?
