10mm extra shock length raises back end by 35mm.
with your sp1 shock being 35mm longer that makes a whopping 122.5mm lift over standard

I had my sp1 shock fitted for awhile had a 18" wheel on it as well and there was just clearance with it just sat there, the run of the chain was to close for me though, add a bumpy track or road n theres definatly not enough clearance. Might be a little better with a 17". Sh*t pic though thought i had sum better ones.

For reference it is a single can not twin stack, the shocks +35mm on standard with eccentric ride height adjuster fitted, no clearance problems to report !

kaz6950: i know the feeling i had the 18" rear on when i changed the shock while the 17" was off being powdercoated and the back end was so high i could hardly touch the floor, but with the 17" now on it is perfect.

royster81: ive always had a mid range flat spot, no matter what i did to the carb's with all the exhausts ive had, but have now sorted this with RO's HRC remapped CDi unit and now pulls smoothly through out the rev range, did find though when i was running 14T front and 41T rear the bike had a bigger flat spot in the mid range "strange" but am now running 14T front & 40T rear and seems great.

Spike16: with the 17" on the back now, yes low turning can be over sensitive i'e U-turn speed but at high speed the cornering is spot on and the bike handles better then standard form, though having changed the setup from standard was more then likely the cause of a few tank slaps the steering dampner has done it's job and made cornering even more positive.
