no seriously its not that bad, im doing it earning £200 a month on a part time job, just watch what you buy, Iv only ever got bargains on all my racing kit wait long enough and a bargian will come.
I did my first meeting in june with NGRRC and foudn the paddock very friendly and well organised, I was planning a meeting at castle combe with New Era but cannot make that now, Iv got two more meetings lined with Bemsee so hopefully il get a feel of how their paddock is also.
Id recomend doing you CTC course (thats for the race licence) to anyone, I found it a great day out and got loads of great advice from the guy who ran it.

I don't know what they are like at other tracks but I have done 5 days at Cadwell and they always check licences properly (not just a glance).
In my opinion, it's not worth risking it unless you just want a day out spectating!!

Thanks for the advice geoff,it looks like the only way of doing a trackday most places with a restricted licence is to have a ACU licence.
Spike,
Dangerous talk maybe, but i'v got a while yet and just finnished a frame up rebuild on my bike so just little touches need makeing to turn into a racer if I decide to go ahead with it.
A mate of mine races supermoto so I have a general idea in the way of cost and such.
Good call on the raceing course I'll look into it but it's all but a pipe dream at the mo.
Pete
