Perfect guys as always really do appreciatte the advice, may be back with more questions ??!! but at least I now have a bit off a clue what I am actually doing !!

regards Bob Grants at knockhill- does he have a workshop within the circuit itself ?? and you say he will do work for non race bikes ?? handy to keep in mind should I ever require anything done.
