Oh i've just thought of something else.. the NC24 originally does not have resistor plugs in it. IF your using R plugs you might have a weaker spark.

Mind you I know pleanty of people that use Resistor plugs and they dont' seem to have too much trouble.

I'm still running with the vaccumn pipe on this one at the moment >.<

plugs are as origional, changed the around 3weeks ago from the R plugs.

will work on the vacume

ive changed the vac pipe and check needles, all shimed same.didnt check coils yet as couldnt find multimeter.

bit more info tough. if you are riding at 10mph say and blip it up to 30mph then come to a stop you can smell fuel, noticed this other day.

i rode my mates nc30 and he rode my nc24 and we both agree the 24 feels sluggish and flat

found the prob!!!!!!

it was a set of modified slides totally screwing up the fueling,

sapped them over to stock and all is good! cheers guys!

Ooh, Im sure I mentioned sticking slides at one point... im guessing the dodgey mod was causing them to stay open longer than necessary.

Drilling the sliders out is supposed to improve throttle response, but you have rounded bottom sliders anyway so I wouldn't bother with that mod.

id checked to see if they slid nice and free and had but not checked the slides for mods. only looked at them when was trying to changed needles, needle wouldnt release out of a couple of the sliders so i just put my other set in with correct needles and then noticed the difference. the ones i have in now have 2 1.6mm holes in each but the modded ones had a redrilled single hole around 2.5mm, one of them you could see daylight throught .

after saying it was cured,bike misbehaved a bit on way home a very very slight stutter ariund the 10k but i was proper hammering it lol! would this just be the 112 jet in the fronts im running?

also a little sluggish on start up but pilot screws are 2 1/4 so hopefully anouther 1/4 turn out should cure that

It may be the jets being too small to supply enough fuel at high rpm, either that or your fuel supply isn't fast enough, which is usually vaccum pipe problems / fuel tap problems / float height
