nc30 screen brace

Post by pugparcels »

just a thought after working a bit more on the bike tonight, as i have used cbr 600rr fairings and removed the screen brace as this is no longer required, i have found the front end lock to lock the switch gear ( indicator / high low beam side ) touches the tank only slightly but it does touch.

does the original screen brace stop the yoke turning this far causing the switch gears to touch? i am more think for mot purposes.

nope. mine hits the lock stops on the bottom yoke / frame only. everything else *just* clears.

My clutch lever hits the clocks but I have it set low. I've had to lift it before now for MOT time.
How hard can it be?

cheers for the replies, will have another check when put the front end back together. it only just touches and i have only noticed when the front end is up in the air, both clipons are straight so will have another check.

i have had issues with levers touching but that is due to the mix of 954 master cyclinder, rrv fireblade clocks & cbr 600rr front fairing all mounted on a nc30!

i will hopefully have it all sorted soon

I also noticed there is a very small range of adjustment on the standard clipons where they locate in the top yoke. When I first got my bike the LH one got too close to the tank on full lock. I set both to 'furthest forward' and had no probs since.

Cheers banoffee, have put the front end back together and fount the left hand clip on was not seated properly first time around. only by a bit but enough to cause issues.

Thanks again.
