RS250 shock revalve

Post by Indiana Jones »

I've searched the threads but found no reference to a company that can reliably revalve an RS250 Sachs shock to suit the NC30 linkage and my weight.
I understand the heavier spring, but clearly the shim stack needs to be modified too.
I just need a phone number of a place that has carried out this work for someone on here, with satisfactory results(Race use).
There is no way I can afford a high spec shock at the moment,I have the RS shock, which is with the adjustable ride height, which I now understand to be a little bit difficult to modify.
Or a very cheap good shock.
Thanks.

Mine was done by Mick Gardener in Barnsley a few years ago. Anyone can do it - a shock is a shock..

I spoke to many companys when i had mine done and i did get the feeling some of them wasnt quite grasping the fact that i wanted it setup to run on a NC so steered clear of them as the last thing i wanted was to pay for a shock setup for a 250. Wish i could remember but i havent got a clue who did it in the end.....sorry

My advice is just call them up and speak to them, the guy that did mine knew exactly what i was on about which put my mind at rest.
